I got a call from the BBC Radio London 📻
And was invited for an interview focusing on the topics of sex and relationships for women.
To say that I was super excited is to say nothing! I felt over the moon! 🌚
You can listen to the recording and read some of the questions asked and my answers to them:
1. Why is sex important and is it actually important at all? – Sex is an additional language that we can speak to each other in order to feel connected and loved and liberated.
2. What are your thoughts on women watching porn? – I believe as long as it is tailored for women’s needs and desires it should be healthy or at least healthier than if it is centred around men sexuality. The second thing is not the amount, but the outcome: is it bringing her closer to her partner or further away from him? Or her or them? Is it a way to reconnect or to disconnect?
3. When sex problem is a problem? – I would rather say that problem and sex are usually indicators of problems in other fires as well which a person might be ignoring. For example if a woman experiences anorgasmia, we look at other spheres in woman’s life where she can or she cannot take pleasure from her experiences. You’ll be surprised how much they’re all linked. Sex problems don’t exist in isolation from our psyche.
4. How much sex impacts the relationship issues? – if we are talking from the Neurotypical point of view, then it would depend on the innate lizard that the person has. So somebody with a high libido would care and would want to have a lot of sex not because their perverts will have nothing else to do, but because this is their need, and somebody with a low libido would care much less and it would impact him or her in the relationships much less. The problem starts when these two people met each other and start a relationship. It’s not impossible but it takes a lot of hard work discussing experimenting and vulnerability. The most important thing here would not to take things personally but to reflect on your own patterns, desires and needs.
